HUNGER
HIKE
Hundreds of people -- individuals, families, and groups
-- participate in the Annual Hunger Hike every fall.
The proceeds from this 7K walk provide vital financial
support for LUM's anti-hunger programs, Food Finders
Food Bank, and hunger relief in Haiti.
COMMUNITY
THANKSGIVING DINNER
The Annual Thanksgiving Celebration is one of our community's
most popular traditions. Each Thanksgiving, a dinner
is prepared and served to residents of Greater Lafayette.
In recent years, the celebration has been held in the
Fellowship Hall of Central Presbyterian Church in downtown
Lafayette. More than 200 volunteers donate food and
help prepare and serve Thanksgiving dinner to hundreds
of guests. Everyone is invited to join together in a
spirit of sharing and fellowship.
